Approach

The firm’s character.

Understand the business first

We take the time to learn how a client’s business actually works before we advise on how the law applies to it.

Pragmatic, not academic

Legal opinion is written to be used — clear positions, workable structures, documents that hold up under scrutiny.

Continuity of counsel

Matters are carried through by the lawyers who opened the file, from opinion and drafting to the courtroom.

Discretion as standard

Banking and corporate clients entrust us with sensitive matters; we treat every file with the same discretion.

“We believe we are distinguished by the principles that define our firm’s character.”
